    ASA and Black History Commission of Arkansas Announce Workshop



    The Black History Commission of Arkansas (BHCA), an advisory board of the Arkansas State Archives (ASA), will sponsor a workshop, ”Arkansas’s Early Black Fraternal Organizations,” on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, 501 W. Ninth Street, Little Rock.

    The workshop will feature lectures from five speakers: Dr. John Graves, Dr. Blake Wintory, Flora Simon, Tamela Tenpenny-Lewis and Cleveland K. Wilson.

    This free event is open to the public, but guests must register online by Monday, June 4: Teachers who attend the event will receive up to four professional development hours. Lunch will be provided.
