    Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives and ASA Announce Music History Symposium



    The Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives and the Arkansas State Archives will be hosting a symposium on Saturday, August 4, 2018. The symposium, "It Covers a Lot of Ground: A History of Music in Northeast Arkansas," will feature speakers Dr. Alan Spurgeon, Dr. Ken Carroll, and Dr. Marti Allen. The musical group, Harmony, will play a short concert at the end of the day.

    The event is free and lunch will be provided, but registration is required. It will be held in Room 103 of the Delta Center on the campus of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Teachers can earn up to four professional development hours through attendance. Deadline for registration is Monday, July 30.
